Elizabeth Warren said the change in the US health care system would make many people uneasy.
She also made it clear that she will not push people for full medicare and will give at least 3 years for people to try it.
while speaking to voters at Manchester, Iowa, a voter asked why should one wait for three years to get full medicare.
“We need to get the votes,” she said.
“And we need to give people some experience with it. Health care is deeply personal and people are very uneasy, I think, about big changes in health care and I understand that.”– she added.
Warren calls health care as basic human right.
“It’s about how we give people experience with changes in health care. I think it’s powerfully important that people have a chance to experience it,” Warren said.
“I think it’s important that we have a path to make health care work for everyone and that’s what I’m committed to.”- she added.
It is to be noted that Warren’s health care would cost $10.5 trillion in ten years.
Warren says people of America need to be given choice before they could try the full healthcare.
“We can offer full health-care coverage to the rest of America for a modest cost,” she said.
“We could let people across this country try, you’re not forced into it if you don’t want to, but try it.” she added.
